Buy vibe coded apps for your business?
A quick introduction to buying vibe-coded apps for your business use-case/s.
Acquiring a vibe-coded app is probably the fastest (and best) way to start your online business. Not only do you get a ready made set of powerful features, you can easily customize the app to suit your model.
what should I look for?
The most important thing to look for is build quality - like any app, an app that has lots of bugs or keeps breaking will drain your energy and leave you frustrated. While off the shelf products sometimes have certain features missing (from your perspective), it's often very easy to add new features than it is to fix broken features. The second thing you should look at is framework, some "Experts" argue that frameworks like React(router) are better for vibe-coded projects because they have 100k+ projects written in them, so LLMs have a better understanding - we disagree,
this is exactly what makes them a poor choice.
not only do they give you dependency clashes, they also mix and match libraries that don't go along well - giving you a fix nightmare.
that is why we prefer Sveltekit
they produce consistently better apps, pre-optimized - making your life easier.
what about UI?
it's important, but not as much as you would think - it is actually the easiest to customise post creation. actually most of our projects are intentionally simple, it's easy to customize simple UI but very difficult to bring an elaborate design back to basics.
Price?
Expect to pay between $200-1000 for a good quality app + about $300-600 for customizations + another $200-400/year for deployment. What you spend here you save on build costs - typically getting a similar app built from a designer on say Softr can set you back $5,000 in design costs + another $1,000/year in subscription fees + you're still locked in to the platform (sunk costs). + you can sort of tell it's still a no-code app -> api calls are slow, updates take time and you are limited in how many automations you can run.
Those tools were super useful without AI but now with vibe-coding, it's super hard to imagine why anyone would choose to start a new project on them.
